About the Event

Are you con cerncerned about stress? Workplace stress and personal negative stress is on the rise, its bad for our health and wellbeing and gets in the way of being the best version of ourselves ... which is why we need simple on the go techniques that we can use to bring that stress down and optimise our resilience to help us be the best version of ourselves.

  • Research links increased stress to rising levels of depression, anxiety, mental and physical ill health.
  • Anxiety has risen by 240% over the last year (Inpluse)
  • Indications are that more people are presenting stressed with their families, at work and in public.

Havening Techniques® is a wellbeing and resilience building tool which uses one of our most innate forms of relaxation, that is soothing touch of our own arms, face and hands, we call this Havening Touch®.  We combine that with imagination, distraction and intention.  This is called self-havening, which generates delta brain waves and feel good neurochemicals and provides in moment sense of calm, bringing our stress levels down and optimising our emotions so that the best version of ourselves can show up.

This is similar to the delta waves and feel good neurochemicals that we innately generate when we experience a good quality nights sleep, the purpose of which is to help resolve the days stress and distress, leaving us feeling rejuvatenated and ready for the next day.  Unfortunately we now know that chronic stress and trauma gets in the way of sleeping well.  Self-havening helps us to consciously use these innate resources to our advantage whilst we are awake.

In this workshop you will learn how Self-Havening works, and be guided practically to use Self-Havening. You will also learn:

  • about the dynamics and impact of distress on your mind and body and how to let go of it.
  • how to use Self Havening to reduced distress from stress, regain homeostasis and build emotional and creative resilience
  • how to sculpt your brain and neural networks - you'll find out about how to prune your neural garden and sow seeds of positive emotions into your mind with the aim of grow your emotional and creative resilience over time
  • Participants will leave feeling relaxed with a practical tool literally in the palm of their hands.

This session is an afternoon session during thesworking week - take time out of work and learn how to give yourself a productive break.
