Learning Outcomes: 1.Why this topic is so important right now - Overview of research on the impact of stress undertaken by BASW and Social Workers Benevolent Fund in 2021. 2.The connection between 4 main types of stress and 4 types of resilience. 3.Impact of chronic stress on the mind, body, lifestyle and outcomes for service users. 4.Introduction to neuroscience informed tools and lifestyle strategies to build and maintain emotional resilience. 5.Access to a free follow up group reflective session and introduction to Turn Over a New LEAF’s Radical Self Care program. About the Trainers Jan Carpenter, founder of Turn Over A New LEAF, will be your lead trainer along with Bhavna Upadhyay. Jan is an Advanced level Adult Social Worker of 20 years, safeguarding team manager level, and the coordinator of Hays Social Work Training. Jan is also a Resilience coach and has over a decade of expertise in helping individuals address lifestyle issues and make practical steps to improve their wellbeing. Jan is a Certified personal performance Coach, NLP practitioner and Havening Techniques® practitioner and trainer. Jan is also a co-author of a book called Winning Mindsets due to be published in September 2021. Jan is passionate about helping professionals live the best version of themselves. To that end he is committed to raising awareness of, and freeing people from, ‘encoded’ trauma and its impact on modern day life, intensifying workplace stress and associated stress related health conditions, which most, if not all, of us are affected by to varying degrees. Bhavna is a senior teacher of self and stress management at the Art of Living Foundation. Bhavna has been a certified trainer and consultant with TLEX (Transformational Leadership for Excellence) Europe for the last three years. Bhavna has over a decade of experience in teaching individuals to lead a stress free life at home and in the workplace. Bhavna has previously been working as a social worker and as a social work manager for over fifteen years with focus on children's safeguarding, protection and corporate parenting for several years prior to being a trainer in TLEX. Bhavna is passionate about and committed to improving health and well-being for professionals in social work and corporates through training programs, mind matters and meditation, through interventions and hourly sessions and providing insights into benefit
