In this unique and engaging workshop, you will experience a new approach to building resilience using the Havening Techniques. This is a simple and highly effective tool, informed by neuroscience, which can help students alleviate and prevent stress whilst enhancing their wellbeing and learning experience/outcomes.
Increasingly, college and university students have been in the media due to rising stress levels, anxiety, depression and suicide rates. Transition to college and university can be stressful placing pressure on their emotional, mental and physical well-being. Stress can arise due to the big life change around leaving home, adjusting to the learning institution and associated personal and familial expectations, not eating, sleeping and doing fitness well and pressures to achieve during their costly once in a life-time university experience. Not to mention climate change. It is not surprising that some will experience the onset of emotional and mental health issues due to these stressors, or perhaps due to a vulnerability they already have or a combination.
This workshop will provide a unique and highly effective tool that can help build your emotional resilience and wellbeing as well as improve your experience at college or university and learning outcomes.
Students of all ages from College age 16+

How excessive stress and low resilience can have a negative impact on our learning mind and outcomes as well as your personal wellbeing.
How to use Havening Techniques, for personal use, to let go of unwanted day-to-day stresses and frustrations that occur in your personal and student life.
How to improve the quality of your rest and recovery from a stressful day using your mind and bodies innate resources.
How to improve the quality of your personal relationships.

Jan Carpenter is a certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner and Trainer, a certified personal performance coach and corporate/executive coach and previously an active qualified Social Worker. He has delivered a variety of training courses and learning programs to various learning, public and private organisations and has twice been one of the group coaches on the LGA funded national Return To Social Work program.
