Overview and context

Members research was undertaken by the Law Society, in 2017, about resilience and wellbeing. They found that 90% of junior Lawyers were experiencing work related stress and 25% had suffered a mental health problem in the previous month.  Research carried out by Protectivity in 2019 found that 63% of lawyers feel stressed as a result of their profession.  Resilience and wellbeing is central to performance and productivity over the long haul of our jobs. 

Whether you're a sole practitioner, barrister, corporate lawyer or support staff all legal professionals and their colleagues are dealing with daily time pressures, increasing competition, customer expectations, billing targets and matter administration. The core issue is how they manage their personal wellbeing amongst all this complexity and the consequence to their resilience and performance if they don't take a smart approach to it. 

In this workshop you will learn how to:

  • Harness your body and mind innate resources for resilience, wellbeing and peak performance 

  • Optimise your mindset for more clarity, focus and energy to keep going

  • Improve the quality of your rest and recovery from daily toxic stress

  • Improve personal and work relationships for greater levels of engagement and influence

  • Use an innovative resilience building method called Havening Techniques that can promptly and efficiently ease symptoms of stress including emotional, mental and physical symptoms

  • Use brain wave technology and a mobile app to boost lifestyle habits for wellbeing, peak performance and productivity
